Megan Brashear, CVT, VTS(ECC)
Megan Brashear, BS, CVT, VTS (ECC) graduated from Brigham Young University in 200 with a BS in Animal Science with an emphasis in Veterinary Technology. She worked during tech school as a veterinary assistant in general practice and made the jump to emergency and critical care in 2000. Megan earned her CVT in Oregon in 2000, and in 2004 became a VTS (ECC). She has over 16 years of ER/ICU nursing and technician management experience. Currently Megan is the Specialty Technician Trainer at VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists in Clackamas, Oregon where she enjoys training the technicians and medical staff to provide top notch specialty care.
Megan servies as a Member at Large for the Oregon Veterinary Technician and Assistant Association, is the Legal Committee Chair for NAVTA and the Credentials Committee chair for AVECCT. She enjoys lecturing on emergency veterinary nursing topics and the opportunity to meet veterinary technicians and nurses around the world. Her special interests include exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, mastering the personality quirks of German Shorthaired Pointers, and helping technicians to learn to think critically.
