Gregory Lisciandro, DVM, DABVP, DACVECC

Dr. Gregory R. Lisciandro, DVM, Dipl. ABVP, Dipl. ACVECC recieved his DVM from Cornell University 1991, completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Animal Medical Center in New York City 1992, a residency in emergency and critical care at Emergency Pet Center, San Antonio 2007, and has become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) 2008.  He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Companion Animal) and has spent half of his career in general practice and half in emergency and critical care.  His interests include point-of-care ultrasound that rapdily answers important clinical questions to optimize small animal patient care, and has developed AFAST and its abdominal fluid scoring system, thoracic FAST (TFAST) and most recently Vet BLUE lung ultrasound.  He is CEO of and co-owner of Hill Country Veterinary Specialists in Spicewood, Texas.  He has extensively published clinical studies on AFAST and its fluid scoring system, TFAST and Vet BLUE, and has been guest lecturer at the TRISAT Critical Care Webcast Series to medical doctors.  He has lectured nationally and internationally to veterinarians in Canada, Europe and South America.
