Amelia Munsterman, DVM, DACVS, DACVECC, CVA

Dr. Munsterman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Large Animal Surgery Department at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a boarded diplomat in large animal surgery in the American College of Veterinary Surgery and in large animal critical care in the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.  Dr. Munsterman is also certified in acupuncture.  She graduated with Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 2001, and a Master's degree in 2005 from The Ohio State University, where she also competed a residency in large animal surgery. She completed a fellowship in emergency and critical care in 2009 at Auburn University to qualify for board certification. Her research interests are in intra-abdominal pressure measurement, abdominal hypertension and abdominal compartment syndrome.
