Michelle Albino, LVT, VTS(Anesthesia/Analgesia)

Michelle Albino has  been a licenced veterinary nurse since 2002, and obtained her VTS in anesthesia/analgesia in the year 2012. Before her current position as Senior Manager of Training and Education at the ASPCA in New York, she worked as team leader of anesthesia at the Animal Medical Center in New York employeed for 12 years, where she gave multiple in-house lectures and wet labs. 
Michelle earned her degree at SUNY Delhi in 2002. Being a seasoned anesthetist, she now focuses her career on training and educating others, and has a passion for animal welfare and pain management. She has presented at hospitals around New York with her business Veterinary anesthesia training, and at local conferences in New York with NYSAVT. She plans to become a certified veterinary pain practitioner in the next year. In 2012, she was awarded "Veterinary Technician of the year" by Dr. William Muir at the Animal Medical Center. She also recently composed a chapter in the book "Pain management for Veterinary Technicians", published by Wiley Blackwell on the topic of 'Analgesic Pharmacology'.
